GET READY... GET SET... GLOW in the Harvest Moon Kid's Fun Run!
Kids 10yr. and under race for FREE in the Mini Moonie Dash for kids 4yr. and under, the Moonie 1/2 Mile for kids 5-7yr, and the Moonie Mile for kids 8-10yr. as they dash along the path in Route 66 State Park surrounded by cheering Moonie fans!
The following 3 FREE events are not timed: The Mini Moonie Dash (1/10 of a mile/528 feet) the Moonie 1/2 Mile, and the Moonie Mile.
T-shirt and headlight are not included in this FREE kid's fun run. T-shirts and Energizer headlights can be purchased when registering.

What is the cost?Register by midnight on September 13th for a guaranteed long sleeve t-shirt in your size and headlamp. Moon Dude Dash (10 and under) - $23 5K Night Run/Walk - $28 5K Night Run/Walk Group (6 or more) - $25 per person Register September 14th thru October 12th for a guaranteed long sleeve t-shirt (size not guaranteed) and headlamp. Moon Dude Dash (10 and under) - $25 5K Night Run/Walk - $30 5K Night Run/Walk Group (6 or more) - $27 per person Race Day: t-shirt not guaranteed Moon Dude Dash (10 and under) - $30 5K Night Run/Walk - $35 5K Night Run/Walk Group (6 or more) - $32 per person Proceeds from the race benefit the Eureka Food Pantry.

What do I get when I register?Register by midnight on September 13th and receive guaranteed size long-sleeve t-shirt and a headlamp. Register September 14th through October 12th and receive long sleeve t-shirt – (size not guaranteed) and headlamp. Register the Day of Race – Receive a headlamp while supplies last. What time does the race start?Check-in begins at 5:30 PM. Check-in for the race is located in Route 66 State Park by the main parking area, next to the playground. All cars need to park in Route 66 State Park or on the outer road leading up to the park. Participants of the Moon Dude Dash should be in the start area by 6:15 PM. All runners and walkers participating in the 5K Run & Walk should be in the start area by 6:40 PM.

Will there be anything to do after the race?After the race, Harvest Moon Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each age class. Awards will also be given to the overall female and male times. Plus, enjoy BBQ provided by The Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge!

Can I bring canned and boxed food to donate?Yes! It is our goal to collect hundreds of canned and boxed foods the night of the race. (No glass products, please!) Our local Girl Scout troop then delivers it to the Eureka Food Pantry on our behalf!

How much money did you raise for The Eureka Food Pantry last year?We hit an all-time Moonie record!!! We donated $12,500 to the Eureka Food Pantry!! Our donation provides meat and subsidizes the meager months when they are in desperate need of restocking their shelves. The Eureka Food Pantry is 100% volunteer. Thank you for your generosity that provides so many families and the elderly throughout the year.

Directions, please!"Directions to Route 66 State Park From I-44. Travel South on Hwy 109. Turn left on Augustine Road. Turn left at the T to continue on Augustine Road. Turn left on Williams road (immediately following a beautiful horse farm). The entrance to Route 66 State Park is on the right, before the on-ramp to I-44 East. Follow this road (it travels parallel to I-44) under the interstate and parking volunteers will direct you from there.
