This past year, many families struggled to routinely have enough food for balanced meals throughout each week. Gratefully, our surrounding area food pantries and the Elks Weekend Backpack Food Program were able to subsidize their hunger. In order to keep shelves and backpacks filled with food throughout the year, we need your generosity to sustain our Hunger Mission this year.
It’s about a child not having breakfast before school and then wondering if there will be dinner before bedtime.
It’s about a veteran that fought for our freedom but now fights hunger every week.
It’s about a senior citizen that worked for years to feed themselves but now worries about having a nutritious daily meal.
It’s about you learning that 1 in 6 households struggle with food insecurity.
It’s about time that we gather to give to give them peace of mind.
It’s about generosity from one to another.
